DIRT is a UK charity working globally to turn fashion into a climate solution, starting with the soil.
DIRT is a global force, transforming the fashion industry into supporting pioneering climate solutions. With projects spanning education, biodynamic textile agriculture, and farm initiatives, DIRT envisions a sustainable future for fashion and textiles through regenerative agricultural practices. Growing our cotton, wool, silk and tree-fibres in a way that allows the fashion sector to rebuild the earth's ecosystem health is possible. As a testament to our commitment, Remnant Revolution is pledging 2% of our sales to DIRT Charity. We hope our contribution can move the industry to a more sustainable future for all.
Why Soil?

Fashion is grown in soil, and the way we currently grow our raw materials causes tremendous harm to soil and is a catalyst for climate change. We could grow fashion crops in a way that heals soil and restores nature to full health and thriving biodiversity. Regenerating soil is a long-term solution and the fastest answer we have to climate change.
We work with Biodynamic agriculture, which is a powerful nature-based solution for farming and the processing of farm-grown materials. Our goal is to bring fashion’s sourcing power behind soil regeneration globally. Our mission is to grow and process all fashion’s raw materials biodynamically.

STEP Children's Intervention Charity
STEP is a registered charity, providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people aged 7 – 18, who are experiencing isolation and exclusion due to either their lack of social skills, personal circumstances or poverty, living in Swindon or the wider community. They work creatively using therapeutic group work sessions to enable children and young people to make a positive contribution to society through the delivery of life and social skills, with recognition of achievement through accreditation whenever possible.
STEP deliver tailor-made therapeutic interventions for children and young people aged 7-18 years, and up to 25 years for those who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Those we support have considerable vulnerabilities, such as sufferers of physical or emotional abuse, neglect, those in care, with mental health issues, have a neurodiverse condition, and are very often socially isolated due to either circumstances or their behaviour, additionally 41% of families are experiencing poverty and deprivation.
The key to our success is a ‘whatever it takes’ approach to building relationships with our children and young people, and being guided (and led) by what they, and their parent/carers, tell us. We adapt to the changing need of our cohort by listening to their feedback and ensuring that STEP’s skillset is constantly updated to meet those needs in the best possible way. Our person-centred and holistic approach ensures we capture the voice of the child, which then enables staff to tailor activities that aim to promote personal learning opportunities and skill development.
The interventions we provide enable children and young people to work through the issues that are negatively affecting their lives and the lives of those around them.
