My name is Marilene

At the age of 19, Marilene started work in a garment factory in her native Brazil which she ended up running. They produced everything from swimwear to dresses. During this time she taught teams of women to sew and was recognised for her precision in pattern cutting. Marilene earned enough money to educate her daughter, who trained in finance. The whole family moved to the UK ten years ago with husband and four-year-old son. She works on product development and his head of production for Remnant Revolution.
