Nahid and her family were brought to the UK by the UK armed forces  last year after fleeing Afghanistan as her father was very senior in the Afghanistan army. They arrived fearful and isolated with the clothes on their backs and a small amount of luggage. Nahid could sew from an early age and made all the clothes for her whole family, including all the dresses for her sister in laws wedding ( there were 1300 guests at the wedding!) Whilst her English is limited, her character is generous and kind and she is magical to be around as has a great sense of humour. Nahid sews our aprons and kids aprons with a self taught skill and flair for fabric and craftsmanship. She also is an incredible cooks and makes the most delicious pastries and cardamon tea.
