My name is Tamara
Tamara is from the Ukraine and fled war two years ago from her home country with her husband and two young boys. Her boys are brilliant at maths and play piano every day. The first thing they bought when they arrived in the UK was a second hand piano. Tamara was taught to sew firstly at school when she was 8 years old taking classes and made every dress, skirt and blouse for herself as a teenager. She also studied endless books on sewing as a child and devoured Burda sewing journals. She became a trained seams mistress. Tamara always loved fabrics and says 'fabric is like treasure in the Ukraine, women love fashion there'.
She subsequently graduated in economics and worked as an accountant in the Ukraine, whilst always sewing her personal wardrobe.
Tamara creates our master patterns and master samples for us at Remnant Revolution.
